Little Man Ice Cream Opens Tenth Location on Littleton’s Main Street

LITTLETON, CO — Little Man Ice Cream celebrated the grand opening of its tenth location on Littleton’s Main Street, bringing a new gathering place for locals and visitors alike. Owner Paul Tamburello, a graduate of Arapahoe High School, described the opening as a dream come true.

Tamburello founded Little Man Ice Cream in 2008, starting with its first shop in Denver. Since then, the business has expanded to include locations from Fort Collins to Englewood. The new Littleton shop, situated at 2449 Main St., formerly housed Nook Coffee and Ice Cream and has undergone extensive renovations over the past few months.

The newly designed space features a modern open layout with a distinctive three-level “stadium” seating area, creating an inviting atmosphere for customers. “That will be a stage when we need it to be a stage,” Tamburello remarked, highlighting the venue’s versatility for community events.

Little Man Ice Cream aims to host a variety of community gatherings, including bingo nights, live music, and poetry readings. “At the heart of who we are is our desire to create a communal space where people can come and interact,” Tamburello stated.

The shop also pays homage to Littleton’s dairy history. An aluminum-sided wall displays the words “Littleton Creamery,” referencing a historical building from 1884 where local farmers processed their milk. Vintage photographs in the bathrooms illustrate the town’s dairy past, thanks to the efforts of Basha Cohen, the company’s director of marketing, who collaborated with the Littleton Museum.

“I wanted it to feel like it was part of Littleton — to pay homage to Littleton,” Cohen explained.

In addition to offering delicious ice cream, Tamburello emphasized the company’s commitment to providing young people with valuable job experiences. For Littleton High School student Audrina Perez, working as a scooper at the new location has been fulfilling. “I love them,” she said of her coworkers, noting the supportive environment and flexibility in scheduling.

“I’m so excited to meet all the new people in the area and build those relationships,” Perez added.

As patrons begin to fill the shop, Tamburello envisions it as “one of several little living rooms for Littleton,” focusing on fostering community rather than mere transactions.

Little Man Ice Cream Littleton will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6 p.m. on October 30, followed by a grand opening celebration from 6 to 9 p.m. Guests in costume will have the chance to win prizes, including free ice cream for a year.
