LOS ANGELES, CA – November 14, 2024 – Sweety Ice Cream, the beloved second-generation, AAPI-owned company known for its traditional family recipes since 1978, has announced the appointment of Colleen Wilson as Head of Sales. Wilson will play a key role in leading the brand’s sales efforts as it prepares for an exciting phase of innovation in the frozen aisle in 2025.
In her new role, Wilson will direct the sales team to expand the company’s presence across critical retail channels, bringing the unique and delightful experience of Sweety’s mochi ice cream to an even broader audience nationwide.
“We’ve only just begun to scratch the surface, and the journey ahead is incredibly exciting. Sweety has a unique perspective as the only nationally distributed, AAPI-owned mochi ice cream brand making authentic, chewy mochi using cherished family recipes,” Wilson said. “As we look to the future, we’re focused on natural and specialty channels where customers value the authenticity and quality of Sweety’s products.”
Wilson, who joins the Sweety Ice Cream leadership team after a successful tenure at NICK’s Ice Cream, brings nearly 15 years of experience in sales within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector. At NICK’s, she served as Senior Sales Director, leading the brand’s expansion in the Midwestern and Western regions, helping to establish the Swedish brand’s presence in the U.S. market. Her expertise in driving national growth will be an asset as Sweety aims to strengthen its brand and reach new customers.
Wilson’s experience also includes positions at Siggi’s Yogurt and This Little Goat, where she honed her passion for helping brands share their cultural heritage and build strong consumer connections. At Sweety, Wilson’s approach will focus on optimizing the sales organization and aligning efforts with the company’s mission to provide high-quality, Asian-inspired treats that are both convenient and delicious.
Her appointment follows a successful rebranding effort earlier this year, signaling Sweety Ice Cream’s commitment to expanding its footprint and energizing its market presence. As Head of Sales, Wilson will report directly to CEO Stacey Lee and will help drive the company’s mission of bringing the joy of mochi ice cream to consumers across the U.S.
