SEARCY, Ark. (KATV) — Two of Searcy’s most beloved institutions, Yarnell’s Ice Cream and Harding University, have joined forces to create a new ice cream flavor: Bison Tracks.
The flavor, inspired by Harding students’ preferences, features a rich combination of chocolate ice cream, brownie bits, and caramel ribbons.
Dr. Mike Williams, president of Harding University, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership and the students’ involvement in the creative process.
“We are incredibly proud of our students for their creativity and participation in selecting Bison Tracks as our official ice cream flavor,” said Williams. “This collaboration with Yarnell’s Ice Cream and Bison Hospitality is a testament to the vibrant and innovative spirit of our community. We look forward to enjoying this delicious treat together.”
A special tasting event held on November 5 allowed Harding students to sample and refine the flavor ahead of its production.
According to university officials, Bison Tracks will debut in select dining halls and at catered events starting in the spring 2025 semester.
This marks the first official collaboration between Harding University and Yarnell’s Ice Cream, two institutions deeply rooted in Searcy’s history. Yarnell’s, established in 1932, and Harding, which relocated to Searcy in 1934, share a longstanding legacy in the community.
