Ferrero UK has strengthened its presence in the frozen dessert market with the launch of Kinder Bueno ice cream cones, marking an exciting new addition to the brand’s growing ice cream portfolio. The new product, available in two flavors—Kinder Bueno Classic and Kinder Bueno White—will be offered in both single cones and multipacks of four, priced at £4.95.
This launch follows the success of Ferrero’s Nutella Ice Cream Tub, which has performed strongly since its debut earlier this year. The Kinder Bueno ice cream cones feature a combination of hazelnut ice cream, a disc of Kinder Bueno chocolate adorned with crispy cocoa sprinkles, and a crunchy hazelnut-cocoa core, all wrapped in a crispy wafer cone with a hazelnut and cocoa tip.
The cones are rolling out at Morrisons stores across the UK this week.
Dani Hayward-Bradley, Regional Marketing Director of Ice Cream at Ferrero, highlighted the successful track record of the Kinder Bueno ice cream cones, which first launched in Europe several years ago and have since achieved impressive sales. The product also saw a strong reception in Ireland when it launched in March, quickly becoming one of the top-performing new products in the ice cream category.
“The UK market for ice cream cones is smaller compared to Europe,” Hayward-Bradley said, “but this launch represents a significant opportunity for retailers to tap into both Kinder Bueno fans and ice cream enthusiasts, helping drive additional sales in the category.”
According to Ferrero, the UK’s filled cones segment is the third-largest within the ice cream category, representing 11% of the market with £163 million in value sales. With the Kinder Bueno ice cream cones, Ferrero aims to capitalize on this growing segment and further boost its position in the competitive frozen treats market.
