LUBBOCK, TX — After more than eight years of serving ice cream to the community, Hub City Scoops will close its doors for the final time this Saturday, November 23.
The announcement came on Thursday through a heartfelt Facebook post from the owner, who expressed deep gratitude for the support the business had received over the years. “This decision was not made lightly, but it is time for this change,” the owner wrote. “I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support, your smiles, and your loyalty over the years. You’ve made Hub City Scoops more than just a place to enjoy ice cream; you’ve made it a place of joy, connection, and community!”
The shop will remain closed on Thursday, but will reopen for its final days on Friday from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.
In the post, the owner also encouraged customers to continue supporting small businesses, acknowledging the vital role they play in building strong local communities.
Hub City Scoops has become a beloved spot in Lubbock, known for its friendly atmosphere and homemade ice cream. The closure marks the end of an era for the neighborhood favorite, which will be missed by its loyal patrons.
