Ferrero UK has introduced Kinder Bueno ice cream cones to its product lineup, further expanding its presence in the frozen food aisle. The new cones come in two variants—Kinder Bueno Classic and Kinder Bueno White—and are available in both single cones and four-packs, with a recommended retail price (RRP) of £4.95.
This launch follows the success of Ferrero’s Nutella Ice Cream Tub, which has performed strongly since its introduction earlier this year. The company sees significant potential in the UK’s ice cream market, particularly in the “filled cones” segment, which is the third largest in the UK, accounting for 11% of the market with £163 million in sales.
The new Kinder Bueno ice cream cones feature a blend of hazelnut ice cream topped with a disc of Kinder Bueno chocolate and crispy cocoa sprinkles. A crunchy hazelnut-cocoa core and a crispy wafer cone with a hazelnut and cocoa tip complete the indulgent treat. These products are set to hit shelves in Morrisons this week.
Dani Hayward-Bradley, Regional Marketing Director of Ice Cream at Ferrero, commented on the success of the Kinder Bueno ice cream cones in Europe, noting their exceptional performance since their debut. The product also performed strongly when launched in Ireland earlier this year, where it became one of the top-selling new products in the category.
“While the UK ice cream cone market is smaller compared to Europe, the launch of Kinder Bueno ice cream cones represents a significant opportunity for retailers to drive additional sales and excite both Kinder Bueno fans and ice cream lovers,” Hayward-Bradley said.
