European mochi ice cream brand Little Moons has made a sweet debut in Melbourne, hosting a special event at the iconic State Library Victoria to mark the launch of its products in the city. The event, organized by creative communications agency History Will Be Kind (HWBK) and production partner The Park, featured four of the brand’s most popular flavors, delighting attendees and attracting large crowds.
The flavors served at the event included Golden Blond Chocolate, Honey Roasted Pistachio, Vegan Belgian Chocolate & Hazelnut, and Vegan Tropical Passionfruit & Mango. Thousands of customers turned out, generating significant excitement and buzz, driven in part by influencer collaborations and robust social media content campaigns.
Ross Farquhar, Marketing Director at Little Moons, expressed his excitement about the launch, saying, “It was incredible to see thousands of people at the State Library Victoria last week for a taste of our mochi ice cream. Taking our Ice Cream Shop and Little Van to such an iconic location in the city was the perfect way to celebrate our Coles launch, and we’re thrilled to be reaching even more fans across the country. Australia is one of our fastest-growing markets, and we’re excited to gift Aussies with even more sweet treats next year!”
The Melbourne event comes as Little Moons continues to expand its presence in Australia. The brand’s products are now available in major supermarket chains, Woolworths and Coles, following a successful year in the Australian market. Little Moons claims that one of its treats is enjoyed every second, reflecting the growing demand for its mochi ice cream.
Founded in 2010 by siblings Vivien and Howard Wong, Little Moons has since become Europe’s leading mochi ice cream brand. The company has enjoyed remarkable growth, and its products are now available across various international markets.
Emma-Jane Granleese, Founder & CEO of HWBK, commented on the successful collaboration, saying, “Bringing the Ice Cream Shop from Another World to Melbourne with The Park was an incredible way to mark Little Moons’ impressive two-year journey in the Australian market. Collaborating with Little Moons again to spotlight its launch into Coles has been a pleasure, and we’re excited to see how the brand continues to soar in Australia in 2025 and beyond.”
As the brand continues to expand its reach, Little Moons is poised to become a staple in Australian households, with more exciting developments expected in the year ahead.
