Handel’s Ice Cream is celebrating a major milestone with the upcoming opening of its 150th store in the Greater Atlanta area. The new location, set to open at Buckhead Landing, will offer a variety of services including pickup, delivery, and catering options.
The grand opening event is scheduled for December 12 at 3330 Piedmont Road. The community is invited to join the celebration, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the official launch. To kick off the festivities, the first 150 visitors will receive a “free ice cream for a year” offer. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., guests will also have the opportunity to spin a prize wheel for additional giveaways.
Jennifer Schuler, CEO of Handel’s Ice Cream, expressed her excitement about the expansion. “Handel’s continues to attract significant interest as one of the fastest growing concepts in the United States,” she said. “With the Buckhead Landing opening, we mark our 150th scoop shop, laying the foundation for continued brand expansion in 2025. We plan to continue earning our guests’ loyalty with the best-tasting ingredients and exceptional service, to help celebrate life’s simple pleasures.”
Schuler added that the new Buckhead location follows the success of Handel’s recent opening in Midtown Atlanta. “The debut of our Buckhead Landing shop marks an important milestone in Handel’s expansion, especially on the corporate side, as we refine operations and develop best practices to support our franchisees,” she noted.
Founded in 1945, Handel’s Ice Cream has built a reputation for serving high-quality, handmade ice cream in-store. The company has continued to expand its reach, including a recent opening in Columbia, South Carolina, in May 2024.
With plans for more growth, Handel’s is positioning itself for an even stronger presence in the coming years.
