FAT Brands Inc. announced the opening of five new storefronts in Texas, marking an expansion of its popular brands, Marble Slab Creamery and Great American Cookies. The new locations, situated in the Houston suburbs and other parts of the state, are expected to boost the companies’ growing presence in Texas.
The newly opened stores are located in Missouri City, Sugar Land, New Caney, Lewisville, and North Richland Hills, according to a company news release. This expansion brings the total number of FAT Brands’ locations to over 160 nationwide.
“Texas remains a key growth market for both Great American Cookies and Marble Slab Creamery, particularly in the Houston and Dallas areas,” said Allison Lauenstein, president of both brands, in a statement.
FAT Brands’ spokesperson Erin Mandzik highlighted that the new stores are designed to provide a seamless co-branded experience, blending the offerings of both brands under one roof. Customers can enjoy a unique menu combining ice cream and cookies. Great American Cookies offers a selection of brownies and their signature Double Doozies—cookies filled with icing—while Marble Slab Creamery serves up homemade ice cream with customizable mix-ins, shakes, and ice cream cakes.
Lauenstein also noted the success of the co-branded store concept, which has proven to be a hit with customers. “This integrated experience, from the moment customers enter to the first bite, has driven significant sales growth. We’ve seen a 10-20% increase in sales at these co-branded locations, which benefits both our franchisees and the bottom line,” she added.
The new openings come as FAT Brands continues to expand its reach, with Texas playing a crucial role in the company’s overall strategy.
