Dairy Queen fans have reason to celebrate as the beloved S’mores Blizzard will make its return in 2025. The iconic dessert was announced as the winner of a recent customer poll, with fans overwhelmingly choosing it over other options like the Georgia Mud Fudge and Cappuccino Heath Blizzards.
On December 20, 2024, the ice cream chain confirmed the news through an Instagram post, stating: “The fans have spoken! The fan-favorite flavor making its triumphant return in 2025 is the S’mores BLIZZARD Treat!” The treat is set to return as part of the DQ Summer Blizzard Menu in April 2025.
The S’mores Blizzard, a popular item since its debut in 2013, is known for its combination of marshmallow-filled chocolate bars, graham crackers, and vanilla soft serve. It quickly became a fan favorite due to its unique blend of flavors and nostalgic, campfire-inspired taste.
Describing the treat on its website, Dairy Queen writes, “Summer was made for s’mores, and with the DQ S’mores Blizzard Treat, you can get your sweet, chocolatey, gooey, marshmallow-ey fix without the fuss of pitching a tent or building a campfire.” The dessert’s return follows a brief hiatus after being removed from the menu in 2020, with its return in 2023 marking a welcome comeback.
The S’mores Blizzard typically sells between $3.69 and $4.49, depending on the size. As fans eagerly await its return, many have turned to online recipes to recreate the treat at home. Dairy Queen’s announcement has reignited excitement for the summer staple, promising another season of delicious nostalgia for ice cream lovers.
