Jubie’s Creamery is closing its Moraine ice cream shop as part of a strategic shift to concentrate on growing its wholesale and catering operations in 2025. The company’s owners, Julie Domicone, along with her parents Fred and Stacey, announced the decision on social media, citing the growing demand for their products through partnerships such as with Dorothy Lane Market.
“Our partnership with Dorothy Lane Market has significantly expanded our wholesale and catering accounts,” Domicone wrote in a Facebook post on January 15. “This growth presents exciting opportunities, but it also comes with a lot of work. Their extensive network allows us to continue providing the best ice cream in the region to those around our former Moraine location.”
The closure of the Moraine shop, located at 2749 W. Alex Bell Road, will allow the Domicones to dedicate more time to building the brand and reaching new customers. Despite the closure, Domicone assured that the business would continue serving the Moraine area. “Our ice cream will still be available in your area, and our Jubie Mobile will be out and about all year long at various events and festivals,” she said.
Domicone also expressed gratitude to the Moraine team for their commitment since the shop’s opening in May 2022. The ice cream shop’s Fairborn and Troy locations will remain operational as the family business shifts its focus to expanding wholesale and catering services.
