Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream, an Ohio-based ice cream chain, is expanding to Georgia with the grand opening of its first location in Midtown Atlanta. The new shop will open its doors at 931 Monroe Drive NE, inside the Midtown Promenade, on Thursday, November 14, at 11 a.m.
To celebrate the occasion, Handel’s is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony, offering the first 100 customers free ice cream for a year. The event will feature live music from a DJ, a photo booth, and giveaways, creating a festive atmosphere for attendees.
The Midtown location marks the first of several planned openings in Georgia. A second shop is scheduled to debut in Buckhead in December, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
Handel’s is known for its diverse and rotating flavors, including brownie dough, birthday cake, blueberry cheesecake chunk, and bananas foster, as well as vegan options like sorbets, sherbets, and ices. The chain also offers specialty items such as hurricanes and Handle Pops.
