Peanut butter enthusiasts have a new treat to look forward to this year as M&M’S introduces its first-ever Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich, set to debut on National Peanut Butter Day, Friday, January 24.
The new dessert, part of the brand’s frozen confections lineup, combines a unique blend of textures and flavors. It features rich, 100% real peanut butter ice cream sandwiched between two soft, home-baked-style sugar cookies, each studded with M&M’S Milk Chocolate Minis for added crunch. Weighing in at 3.5 ounces, the treat will be available in both single-serve and multi-pack (14-ounce) options at grocery store freezer sections.
Chanel Gant, marketing director at Mars Ice Cream, expressed excitement over the new offering, saying, “National Peanut Butter Day just got a whole lot sweeter with the launch of our M&M’S Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches.”
Gant also highlighted the growing popularity of peanut butter among younger consumers, noting, “Peanut butter is the Gen Z and millennial flavor of choice when it comes to ice cream pairings. With this new creation, we’re bringing that beloved flavor to the freezer aisle in a way that perfectly matches their cravings, offering a nostalgic yet innovative treat that creates moments of everyday happiness for our consumers.”
The addition of peanut butter comes after the brand’s successful launch of various other ice cream cookie sandwich flavors, including Vanilla, Chocolate, Cookies & Cream, and the limited-time Mint Ice Cream Sandwich, which was first released in 2021 for St. Patrick’s Day.
Fans of M&M’S can now celebrate National Peanut Butter Day with an indulgent new frozen snack that combines classic flavors with a modern twist.
