Van Leeuwen, the renowned New York-based ice cream maker known for crafting its creations from scratch, is celebrating the grand opening of its new location at Westfield UTC in San Diego. To mark the occasion, the company is hosting a series of exciting promotions over the next few days, starting Thursday, February 12.
From 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, the first 100 customers will receive complimentary Van Leeuwen totes. In addition, ice cream scoops will be offered at a special price of just $1 during this time.
In a partnership with La Jolla’s DoDo Bird Donuts, Van Leeuwen will also offer a unique treat through the upcoming weekends. Customers can pair any scoop of ice cream with a freshly made cinnamon sugar donut. This sweet promotion will run from Thursday to Sunday, and again next weekend on February 22 and 23, while supplies last.
Van Leeuwen’s ice cream selection includes a variety of rich and indulgent flavors, such as dulce de leche brownie, lemon poppy seed muffin, and Sicilian pistachio. The company also offers a selection of vegan options, including chocolate chip cookie dough and churros and fudge. Pints of ice cream are available online for $12 each.
With 12 locations across California, mostly concentrated in Los Angeles, the UTC location marks Van Leeuwen’s first shop in the San Diego area. The new store is located in Suite E-25, next to Ramen Naji and La Colombe.
