Pythian Parlour is offering a unique twist on Valentine’s Day treats, featuring a variety of ice creams, acai bowls, and sorbets, with over 16 flavors to choose from. The local ice cream shop is owned by young entrepreneurs Eric and Andrea Davis, who juggle three diverse businesses: Pythian Parlour, Travel Nation, and a sports and portrait photography business they manage when time allows.
Andrea Davis, a Lincoln County native with deep local ties, including family connections to the Simmons and Tjelmeland families, has always been busy. “We’re not people who do well sitting still,” she said. Before meeting Eric, Andrea attended Calhoun Community College, majoring in business. Eric, from Orlando, Florida, was studying game art modeling at Full Sail University and working as a sports photographer for ESPN when the couple met.
The couple married in Fayetteville in 2017 and began their travel business from home, eventually relocating it to the Pythian Building in 2023. Through Travel Nation, they can arrange global travel, book concert tickets, and even secure private jets or cruises. They offer these services without charging additional planning fees, as commission is built into the price.
Despite the growing business, Andrea and Eric continue to prioritize hands-on involvement in their ventures. “We’re very involved with everyone here,” Andrea said, referring to their work with customers and their five employees.
The couple’s ice cream business, Pythian Parlour, was inspired by a desire to create something uniquely their own. Located in Suite 1B of the Pythian Building, the shop features homemade ice cream made without artificial flavors or colors. In addition to popular flavors like Banana Pudding and Mint Chip, they offer allergy-friendly options made from oat and coconut milks, as well as fruit-based sorbets. Andrea noted that they have created around 40 different flavors and are always open to suggestions from their customers.
The shop also offers delivery through DoorDash and has partnered with the Too Good to Go app, allowing customers to rescue unsold treats through surprise bags, giving them a chance to sample new flavors.
Pythian Parlour is open daily except Tuesdays, with hours from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and noon to 9 p.m. on Sundays.
