Purdue Food Co. is expanding its ice cream offerings this semester with two new locations for students, faculty, staff, and the greater West Lafayette community to enjoy.
The new ice cream shop, Scoops + Sweets, has opened its doors at the Honors College Residence Hall, located at 1101 Third Street. The shop offers a wide range of ice cream treats, including sundaes, milkshakes, and other sweet and savory options. Open from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, Scoops + Sweets provides a fresh social spot for those on campus.
In addition to the Honors College location, Scoops + Sweets will soon expand with a mini branch at FoodLab, situated on the ground floor of the Purdue Memorial Union, within the Atlas Family Marketplace. Set to open ahead of spring break, this new outlet will feature a rotating selection of Hershey’s Ice Cream flavors, along with milkshakes, sundaes, and various other desserts. As part of the FoodLab’s commitment to culinary exploration, the mini branch offers a convenient option for those looking to indulge in new dessert experiences on campus.
Additionally, Purdue Food Co. continues to offer retail dining memberships, providing access to over 30 dining locations across campus. Members can use their Purdue ID cards for payment, with added benefits such as bonus funds, a free meal on their birthday, and complimentary items during select hours every Wednesday.
These new initiatives aim to enhance the campus dining experience, giving the Purdue community more options to satisfy their sweet cravings while offering convenient and flexible meal plans.
