April and Brad Davis are expanding their business presence in southwest Springfield with the opening of Sips & Scoops, a new ice cream and coffee concept featuring a drive-thru for convenient service. Located at 3202 W. Republic Road, Ste. 400-500, the business represents the couple’s second venture in the area, following the success of Jump Mania, which has been operating just next door for six years.
The Davis family is deeply involved in the operation, with three of the couple’s daughters working at the new establishment. Sips & Scoops had a soft opening in early February and is planning a grand opening for March 2025. April Davis noted that the decision to open a coffee and sweets shop was driven by the growing demand in southwest Springfield, a rapidly developing area with limited similar offerings.
“There’s a lot of traffic from Republic to Springfield, and there’s nothing down this direction,” Davis said. “When the drive-thru opportunity came up, we were like, ‘That’s perfect!’”
The business is open seven days a week, with hours from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays. Sips & Scoops serves a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, smoothies, milkshakes, as well as specialty lattes and unique ice cream flavors. One of the couple’s six children is responsible for crafting the specialty menu, which features rotating seasonal drinks like the “Birthday Cake Latte.”
The Davis family’s new venture adds to their growing presence in the community, bringing a fresh, convenient option for residents and visitors in southwest Springfield.
