As winter comes to an end, Dairy Queen is once again offering a delicious way to welcome spring. The popular ice cream chain has announced the return of its annual Free Cone Day, set to take place on March 20, the first official day of spring.
What to Expect on Free Cone Day
On this day, participating Dairy Queen locations nationwide will hand out one free small vanilla soft-serve cone per customer—no purchase necessary. However, this offer is only available at non-mall locations.
For those visiting mall-based Dairy Queen outlets, a free cone will still be available, but only with a purchase.
Restrictions and Special Promotions
The free cone offer is limited to one per person and will be available while supplies last. Additionally, it cannot be redeemed through delivery or mobile orders.
To make the celebration even sweeter, Dairy Queen is running a sweepstakes for free cones throughout the year. Fans can enter by signing up for DQ Rewards through the Dairy Queen app by March 19. The app also helps users find the nearest participating location for Free Cone Day.
Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day Also Returns
Dairy Queen isn’t the only ice cream chain offering a seasonal giveaway. Ben & Jerry’s has announced its own Free Cone Day on April 8, where customers can enjoy unlimited free scoops at all of its locations worldwide—meaning fans can get back in line as many times as they want.
Whether it’s a soft-serve swirl from Dairy Queen or a scoop from Ben & Jerry’s, ice cream lovers have plenty to look forward to this spring.
