Seemingly Overzealous, a popular gluten-, dairy-, and egg-free ice cream shop, is teaming up with The Accidental Baker, a local bakery that specializes in gluten-free baked goods, for an exciting event this month. The collaboration promises a delightful experience for those with food allergies, offering a range of treats that taste just as delicious, if not better, than traditional options.
The two local businesses, known for their allergy-friendly offerings, are coming together to create a special menu that caters to customers with dietary restrictions. Matt Cabana, the owner of The Accidental Baker, shared the motivation behind the event: “Since we have so many customers that overlap, we thought it would be great for them to enjoy treats from both of our businesses in the same location.”
The event, which will take place on Saturday, March 22, at 1308 The Plaza, will feature 100% dairy, egg, and gluten-free items. One highlight will be an ice cream sandwich, made with Seemingly Overzealous ice cream and paired with espresso cookies dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with chocolate chips, crafted by The Accidental Baker.
Cabana will also be bringing a selection of popular items typically found at his pop-ups, including sourdough, bagels, cornetti, and cookies. Additionally, specialty items such as danishes and cacio e pepe bagels will be available.
To complement the treats, Black Sheep Coffee will be on hand selling freshly brewed coffee.
For those interested in attending, the event will kick off at 9 a.m., but attendees are advised to arrive early as The Accidental Baker’s offerings often sell out quickly. At his last pop-up, for instance, customers started lining up at 7:30 a.m. for a 9 a.m. opening, and all 650 items sold out within two hours.
