Blue Bell Creameries has introduced a new ice cream flavor inspired by a nostalgic dessert combination, blending the rich taste of chocolate with the sweetness of banana.
The latest addition to the Texas-based company’s lineup, Banana Fudge Ice Cream, features Blue Bell’s signature milk chocolate ice cream swirled with a banana-flavored counterpart.
“We know our fans still crave the frozen snack bars on a stick that featured banana and chocolate,” said Sara Schramm, Blue Bell’s marketing brand manager, in a press release. “We have received requests over the years to return these products to our lineup. We thought, why not shake things up and bring this delicious combination back as an ice cream?”
The new flavor is now available in grocery stores for a limited time in both half-gallon and pint sizes.
Blue Bell, headquartered in Brenham, Texas, is well known for its innovative ice cream flavors, offering more than 40 varieties. The company recently launched Strawberry Toaster Pastry, a blend of vanilla ice cream with strawberry pastry pieces, colorful confetti sprinkles, and swirls of strawberry sauce and white icing.
Other popular Blue Bell flavors that have made a splash include Dr Pepper Float, Monster Cookie Dough, Java Jolt, Chocolate Brownie Truffle, Cookies ‘N Cream Cheesecake, and Gooey Butter Cake.
