UNSPECIFIED DATE – Ice cream enthusiasts, rejoice! Ben & Jerry’s is gearing up for its annual extravaganza of sweetness with “Free Cone Day” on April 16, a cherished tradition dating back to 1979, aimed at expressing gratitude to loyal fans and giving back to the community.
Last year, Ben & Jerry’s delighted taste buds with a staggering 970,000 complimentary scoops of ice cream. However, in 2024, the renowned ice cream company is setting its sights higher, aiming to serve an impressive one million scoops. CEO Dave Stever expressed enthusiasm, urging fans to rally their friends, family, and neighbors to join in surpassing this ambitious goal.
“It was nothing short of amazing to see our fans back in our shops in their full Free Cone Day glory,” remarked Stever.
The rules are simple: no purchase necessary, and patrons are welcome to queue up for seconds, thirds, or as many times as they desire between the hours of 12 p.m. and 8 p.m. It’s an ice cream lover’s dream come true.
And for those who can’t wait until April, Dairy Queen is also spreading the joy of free ice cream by offering a complimentary vanilla soft-serve cone to customers on March 19, marking the first day of spring.
