A familiar spot in Wind Gap has been reborn as Sundaes on Broadway, a new ice cream shop serving up fresh, made-on-site flavors and other chilled treats. Owner Jason Parker, who purchased the former Sweet Nanny’s Candies & Ice Cream Creamery a few months ago, has brought his own vision to the business, introducing a new look and expanded menu.
Parker, a Bethlehem resident, is embarking on a new chapter after a 30-year career in fireplace maintenance. He brings experience from operating a food trailer at local events, where he developed a rapport with the previous owners of Sweet Nanny’s.
Sundaes on Broadway continues the tradition of making premium ice cream on-site, offering both classic and unique flavors. With approximately 30 hard ice cream options, including favorites like butter pecan and blueberry cheesecake, as well as soft-serve, sherbet, and even dairy-free and vegan choices, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Parker emphasizes seasonal rotations and plans to introduce made-on-site ice cream cakes in the future. He has also revamped the shop’s interior, creating a welcoming space with new paint, flooring, and decorative touches.
Sundaes on Broadway is open daily, serving the Slate Belt community from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and noon to 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Parker is excited to serve the community and embark on this new journey in his professional life.
So, if you’re looking for a sweet treat in the Wind Gap area, be sure to stop by Sundaes on Broadway and experience the fresh flavors and welcoming atmosphere.
