The first outpost will grace 540 Hudson Street near Charles Street in the vibrant West Village, while the second will find its home at 360 Amsterdam Avenue near 77th Street on the lively Upper West Side.
Founded by the dynamic duo of award-winning chef Tyler Malek and his cousin Kim Malek, Salt & Straw’s journey began modestly as a food cart in Portland before blossoming into its inaugural brick-and-mortar establishment in 2011.
Since its inception, the brand has garnered a fervent following, expanding its footprint to several West Coast cities and even venturing into the sunny landscapes of Florida. Last summer’s successful pop-up activation in New York City served as a tantalizing teaser for what was to come.
After much anticipation, Salt & Straw is set to make its permanent mark on the East Coast, kicking off with a series of pop-ups across the city before its official grand opening.
