Citrus Heights has revealed three new locations for its annual City Scoop ice cream social community gatherings, fostering neighborhood connections and camaraderie.
Following April’s announcement of City Scoop’s return for a second year, the city engaged residents in selecting from 10 location options, inviting them to vote between April 5-12. Last week, the city’s social media platforms announced the chosen locations and dates.
This summer’s City Scoop events will be held at Sylvan Oaks Library on Thursday, June 6, Metro Fire Station 27 on Thursday, July 11, and Lichen K-8 on Thursday, August 8.
The monthly ice cream socials aim to facilitate community bonding among neighbors, city staff, and other residents, as outlined on the city’s website.
In its inaugural year of 2023, the City Scoop summer series successfully brought together residents at various locations in Citrus Heights, including Greenback Greenspace, Sylvan Community Center, and Westwood Park.
