“Beloved Full Tilt Ice Cream Shop in White Center Shuts Its Doors Permanently”

by Alice

WHITE CENTER, Wash. — A cherished fixture in the White Center community bids farewell as Full Tilt Ice Cream’s flagship store closes its doors for the final time at 8 p.m. on Sunday. The closure follows the untimely passing of Full Tilt’s owner, Justin Cline, who succumbed to a heart attack in early March, having previously suffered one in February.

Reflecting on her late husband’s aspirations to integrate into the local business landscape, Cline’s widow expressed the profound impact of his absence, lamenting that the essence of the business has irrevocably changed without him.

In a heartfelt Facebook post shared in April, the store conveyed gratitude for the unwavering love, friendship, and support received over the past 16 years, labeling the journey as the highlight of their lives and extending thanks to the White Center community.

Established by Cline and his wife, Ann Magyar, in 2008, Full Tilt Ice Cream initially rooted itself in White Center before expanding to include additional locations in Ballard, Capitol Hill, Columbia City, and the University District.

While the Columbia City branch remains operational, it is important to note that this location does not honor gift cards, coupons, or birthday party certificates from other Full Tilt establishments, as outlined in an official statement.

In a gesture of solidarity, a GoFundMe initiative was launched to support the bereaved family, amassing over $90,000 in contributions as of May.
