The national chain Bruster’s Real Ice Cream is making its comeback to New Jersey with the anticipated opening of a new location in Westwood this summer.
Established 35 years ago, Bruster’s prides itself on its “premium, small batch” frozen treats, prepared “the old fashioned way” through slow kettle processing. Ingredients are meticulously sourced daily from the Bruster’s dairy in Titusville, Pennsylvania, ensuring freshness and quality.
Located at 513 Broadway, the Westwood establishment will serve as Bruster’s sole presence in New Jersey, following the closure of a previous store in Gloucester County. While an exact opening date for the Westwood site remains undetermined, spokesperson Taylor Fowler confirms plans for an early-summer launch.
Regarding the reopening of the Gloucester Township shop in Washington Township, Fowler stated that there is currently no set timeframe.
Bruster’s, headquartered in Bridgewater, Pennsylvania, has experienced substantial growth, boasting 200 independently owned locations across 22 states, as well as in Guyana and South Korea. The company’s expansion efforts have been underscored by the announcement of over 40 new franchise agreements in 2023.
With a rotating menu of 150 flavors and at least 24 freshly crafted varieties available daily, Bruster’s offers an enticing array of choices for ice cream enthusiasts. Customers can stay informed about available flavors at each store by checking the Bruster’s website, as the ice cream is made fresh daily.
