MUMBAI – A horrifying incident unfolded for a Mumbai resident when a 26-year-old doctor discovered a severed human finger inside an ice cream cone ordered from a local shop. The startling find, reported on Wednesday, prompted the doctor to file a complaint with the Malad police station.
According to police sources, the doctor, identified as Orlem Brandon Serrao, had ordered a butterscotch ice cream cone from Yummo company. His anticipation turned to dread when, while consuming the ice cream after lunch, he encountered a half-inch piece of flesh with a nail in it.
“I am a doctor so I know how body parts look like. When I carefully examined it, I noticed the nails and fingerprint impressions under it. It resembled a thumb. I am traumatized,” Serrao told NDTV.
Despite reaching out to the company through Instagram initially, receiving no satisfactory response led Serrao to preserve the flesh in an ice bag and approach the police station.
In response to the complaint, an FIR has been registered against Yummo Ice Creams, and the severed digit has been sent for forensic analysis.
The incident has sparked widespread reactions on social media, with users expressing shock and disgust over the unsettling discovery.
