Adam Fazekas of Fazekas Confectionery in Budapest has secured the top spot in the international ice cream rankings. Fazekas, who previously won the Gelato Festival World Masters competition in 2021 and ranked second in the World Rankings in 2022, showcased his exceptional skills once again.
At a recent press conference, attendees sampled Fazekas’s acclaimed raspberry-pistachio ice cream, a testament to the creations that earned him first place. Fazekas’s mastery in ice cream making has consistently impressed judges, leading to his latest victory.
This year, Italy’s Giovanni Bonazzi claimed second place, while Savannah G. Lee from the United States secured third place in the prestigious competition.
Since its inception in 2011, the Gelato Festival World Masters competition has been a global event, judged by several hundred experts who have evaluated creations from over 8,000 ice cream makers worldwide. This year, more than 1,200 contestants from Europe, North America, Africa, and Asia participated in the event, highlighting the global passion for high-quality ice cream.
