CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Morris-Jenkins, renowned for its longstanding presence in heating and air services, is embracing a new community engagement approach with a refreshing twist: free ice cream.
Casey Welch, spokesperson for Morris-Jenkins, shared the inspiration behind this initiative, aiming to evoke nostalgic joy among the community. “I wanted to bring back the excitement of the ice cream truck,” Welch stated. “It’s a timeless idea that brings smiles to both kids and parents alike.”
Dubbed “Catherine the Ice Cream Lady,” the initiative involves a mobile ice cream truck that will visit parks throughout Charlotte, offering a variety of classic treats including icy treats, snow cones, Bomb Pops, Drumsticks, and old-fashioned favorites. The truck will be recognizable by the Morris-Jenkins jingle, heralding its arrival and free ice cream distribution.
“This initiative is about more than just cooling off,” Catherine expressed. “It’s about connecting with families, creating memorable moments, and giving back to the community.”
Morris-Jenkins’ involvement underscores their commitment to maintaining a positive presence and providing refreshing services beyond their core business. As summer heats up, locals can look forward to enjoying free ice cream courtesy of Morris-Jenkins at a park near them.
