The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) is set to host its Annual Chancellor’s Ice Cream Social on Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the William O’Bryant Bell Tower. The event is open to all UAPB students, faculty, staff, and alumni, offering a free opportunity to gather and celebrate the start of a new academic year with the Golden Lion community.
This cherished event, a longstanding tradition at UAPB, will feature a warm welcome from Dr. Andrea Stewart, the Interim Chancellor. It serves as an official introduction to the university for new and returning members of the campus community. The Chancellor’s Ice Cream Social is known for bringing together the Golden Lion family in a festive atmosphere, filled with music, school spirit, and, of course, plenty of ice cream.
Attendees will be treated to a special performance by the university’s renowned band, the Marching Musical Machine of the Mid-South, led by Mr. John Graham, Jr. Additionally, the UAPB Spirit Team, including the Cheer Squad and Pom Squad under the direction of coaches Calvin Burgess and Candace Hines, will deliver high-energy routines to further ignite the school spirit.
