Good news for ice cream enthusiasts in Providence: Helado Taiyaki, a beloved local ice cream shop, will remain open despite previous plans to close. Located on Dean Street, the shop is known for its unique Japanese-style fish-shaped ice cream cones.
In August, the original owners announced their intention to close the business and relocate to Miami for a new adventure. However, in a recent update, the former owner revealed that a team member has stepped in to take over the shop’s operations.
This transition means that patrons can continue to enjoy Helado Taiyaki’s delicious offerings at its new location on Federal Hill, just a block away from Atwells Avenue.
