In 2019, Cindy Hendricks established Rock Salt Milk Bar in downtown Newnan, and the business has since blossomed to include three locations in total, now encompassing Peachtree City and LaGrange.
To create Rock Salt, Cindy and her son Grayson embarked on a cross-country journey, exploring esteemed ice cream parlors, sampling diverse flavors, and examining different production methods. A key takeaway from their travels was the importance of using high-quality ingredients in desserts.

“Our commitment to all-natural ingredients is unwavering,” Cindy emphasizes. “We don’t buy our cookies off the shelf and mix them into our ice cream; we make them from scratch in our Newnan store. The same goes for our baked goods – everything is 100% scratch made.” This dedication to quality is further complemented by their responsiveness to customer feedback, enabling them to craft baked goods that cater to community tastes.
Rock Salt’s menu is continually evolving, bolstered by the recent addition of experienced bakers Logan and Meredith. They have introduced new offerings, including galettes and homemade toaster pastries, and they plan to keep innovating the dessert lineup.
