Chick-fil-A is welcoming the fall season with the return of its popular banana pudding milkshake, available for a limited time starting Monday, August 26. This marks the first reappearance of the beloved dessert in 13 years.
The banana pudding milkshake is crafted with real banana vanilla ice cream and vanilla wafer cookies, finished with whipped cream and a cherry on top.
In addition to the milkshake, Chick-fil-A is introducing a new banana frosted coffee, which incorporates the same ingredients as the shake—ice cream, banana, and wafer cookies—while also adding cold brew coffee. Unlike the milkshake, this new beverage does not include whipped cream or a cherry, although customers can request those toppings.
Also making a return is the honey pepper pimento chicken sandwich, which, despite being off the menu for just one year, has generated significant excitement. According to a press release, this sandwich was the most-ordered limited-time item during its previous availability in 2023. It now comes with a choice of original or spicy chicken fillets, topped with honey, pimento cheese, and pickled jalapeños, all served on a toasted bun.
Meanwhile, Krispy Kreme is also joining the fall flavor trend. The doughnut chain has reintroduced two seasonal favorites: the pumpkin spice cake doughnut and the pumpkin spice latte, both available as of August 12. The doughnut is offered in both old-fashioned and glazed styles, available individually or in dozen packs at bakery locations and select grocery stores. The pumpkin spice lattes are offered hot, iced, or frozen, each topped with whipped cream.
Krispy Kreme’s global chief brand officer, Dave Skena, expressed enthusiasm for the season, stating, “It’s August and we’re all ready for pumpkin spice, somehow. So, we’re bringing back the classics you’re craving. Our fans want their Krispy Kreme Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnut and Latte right now, and we’re here for it. Stay tuned though, we’re not done spicing up the season.”
