Here’s to more scoops, smiles, and memories. As we know more, we will be sure to keep you updated on the soft opening & special promotions.”
Sarah’s Handmade Ice Cream, which has become a local favorite in Montgomery County, has earned recognition as the #1 ice cream spot in the “Mr. MoCo’s 15 Favorite Ice Cream Spots in MoCo” list. The brand currently operates three locations: two in Bethesda, at 10219 Old Georgetown Road and 5241 River Road, and one in Rockville, at 14929 Shady Grove Road.
The business was founded by Sarah and Annie Park, a mother-daughter duo from Bethesda. Sarah, who retired in 2018, rediscovered her passion for ice cream-making by experimenting with recipes for family and friends. Her homemade creations quickly garnered attention, and soon, she was receiving orders from the wider community. Encouraged by the overwhelming support, Sarah and Annie decided to open a storefront in Bethesda, where they have continued to prioritize high-quality, small-batch, all-natural ice cream made with locally sourced ingredients.
“Sarah’s Handmade was created with a commitment to quality,” the brand explained. “We use only the best, locally sourced ingredients and stick to small-batch recipes to ensure the freshest flavors possible. Our goal is to create ice cream that we’d be proud to feed to our own families.”
The new DuPont Circle location is expected to continue the brand’s mission of bringing handcrafted, high-quality ice cream to new customers while maintaining the personal touch that made Sarah’s Handmade a community favorite. Further details, including the soft opening date and special promotions, will be shared soon.
