Baskin-Robbins is stirring up holiday debate this November with a ne w, limited-time ice cream flavor inspired by a Thanksgiving classic. After last year’s introduction of a Thanksgiving-themed ice cream that blended the flavors of sweet potatoes, cranberries, and honey cornbread, the chain is taking its holiday offerings in an even bolder direction.
This year, Baskin-Robbins will serve “Brie My Guest”, a sweet and savory flavor that draws inspiration from a cheeseboard. According to the brand, the ice cream combines the rich flavors of brie and burrata, swirled with apricot ribbons and mixed with almonds and pistachios. The result is described as a “peachy-colored” dessert meant to spark conversation with its unique blend of creamy cheeses and crunchy nuts.
While the combination of brie, burrata, and fruit may appeal to some, it is likely to prove divisive among customers. The flavor’s unusual mix of savory and sweet elements makes it a departure from traditional Thanksgiving desserts, which could either delight adventurous eaters or leave others uncertain.
In addition to the new ice cream flavor, Baskin-Robbins is also bringing back its beloved Turkey Cake. This dessert, shaped like a roasted turkey and decorated with sugar cone “legs” and a caramel praline glaze, can be customized with any ice cream flavor of choice. The Turkey Cake is available for pre-order through the Baskin-Robbins app, where customers can receive a $5 discount on orders placed between November 1 and 15.
“Holiday gatherings are about sharing memorable experiences, and our Brie My Guest and Turkey Cake do just that,” said Jerid Grandinetti, Vice President of Marketing and Culinary at Baskin-Robbins. “Our new Flavor of the Month offers a bold twist on the best parts of a cheeseboard, sure to delight your guests and spark conversation at the table.”
Baskin-Robbins’ Thanksgiving-inspired treats are not the only seasonal items hitting shelves this year. Other brands, including Arby’s, Target, Lay’s, KFC, Campbell’s, Pepperidge Farm, and DiGiorno, have all unveiled limited-edition products to celebrate the season.
Editor’s note: The Brie My Guest ice cream will only be available in participating Baskin-Robbins locations throughout November.
