Rosie’s Handcrafted Ice Cream, a beloved spot on the West Side, has raised the bar for local dining with an exciting new collaboration. This past Saturday, the ice cream shop teamed up with Buffalo Bros Burgers, one of Western New York’s most popular food trucks, offering a new fusion of delicious treats to the community.
During a visit in October, the dedicated parking space outside Rosie’s, where food trucks are now parked, went unnoticed, presumably for delivery. However, this clever move by the owner has opened up a world of culinary possibilities. While Rosie’s has a limited menu of comfort foods like hot pockets, lunches and soups, the addition of rotating food trucks has opened up endless opportunities for creative collaborations.
The decision to invite Buffalo Bros Burgers, known for their mouthwatering Oklahoma-style smashburgers, was a stroke of genius. Now, customers can enjoy a double-patty burger from Buffalo Bros paired with a milkshake from Rosie’s, making it a match made in culinary heaven.
Buffalo Bros Burgers, which has been a fan favorite in the region since 2017, has built a loyal following for their delectable smashburgers. Earlier this year, they expanded to a brick-and-mortar location in Hamburg, but their partnership with Rosie’s marks an exciting new chapter for both businesses.
The new collaboration brings an enticing blend of smashburgers, ice cream cones, fries, and dipping sauces to Rosie’s West Side location in the vibrant Five Points neighborhood. With a spacious parking lot in the back, a food truck stationed out front, and a cozy indoor-outdoor seating area, the ice cream shop, designed by eco_logic Studio’s Kevin Connors, provides an ideal setting for this unique dining experience. Guests can also enjoy wine and draft beers, making for an even more inviting atmosphere.
Rosie’s owners, Cassandra and Deacon Tasker, have certainly made a mark with this innovative food truck concept, and it will be exciting to see what other culinary collaborations they explore in the future. For now, their partnership with Buffalo Bros Burgers has proven to be a winning combination.
