Pickerington residents can look forward to the arrival of a new Johnson’s Real Ice Cream shop, set to open in May 2024. The popular Columbus-based ice cream chain, celebrating 75 years of operation in 2025, will open a location at 192 Hill Road North, marking the first of two new shops planned for next year. The new space will feature a rooftop patio and a covered outdoor area, providing ample space for visitors to enjoy ice cream during the summer months.
“With its unique rooftop patio and inviting design, our new location offers a great space for friends and neighbors to connect and enjoy delicious ice cream,” said Matt Wilcoxon, a fourth-generation owner of the company, in a statement. The Pickerington location follows the announcement of another new shop in Powell, which is set to open in early spring 2024.
