Pittsburgh, PA — Eat’n Park, in partnership with Millie’s Homemade Ice Cream, is launching a limited-edition ice cream flavor inspired by the beloved Christmas Star commercial, a holiday tradition that has been part of the restaurant’s advertising since the 1980s.
The new flavor, “Christmas Star Ice Cream,” features a blend of vanilla and peppermint, mixed with chunks of Smiley Cookie bits and topped with cheerful yellow sprinkles. Starting November 23, pints of the festive treat will be available for purchase at Pittsburgh-area Giant Eagle stores, as well as at all Millie’s locations, where customers can also enjoy the ice cream by the scoop.
But this collaboration is about more than just satisfying a sweet tooth. Proceeds from the sales of the Christmas Star Ice Cream will benefit Eat’n Park’s annual Caring for Kids campaign, which has raised over $12 million to support local children’s hospitals.
Trina DeMarco, director of corporate communications and community partnerships at Eat’n Park, expressed excitement about the project. “After the success of our 75th anniversary ice cream flavors this summer, we are thrilled to collaborate with Millie’s once again for a great cause,” she said. “Caring for Kids means so much to our team members and guests, and this ice cream provides a sweet additional way to support the campaign while celebrating our iconic commercial.”
