In celebration of the annual White House tradition of pardoning Thanksgiving turkeys, Baskin-Robbins has launched its own twist on the custom. On November 25, 2024, the ice cream chain’s “Commander-in-Ice Cream,” Jerid Grandinetti, hosted a live Turkey Cake Pardon on TikTok and Instagram. During the event, Grandinetti pardoned “Brie,” a frozen turkey-shaped cake, and invited customers to pre-order their own Turkey Cakes with a special discount.
Using the promo code TURKEY, customers can receive $5 off any Turkey Cake order of $35 or more before tax through the Baskin-Robbins app. The offer, available for a limited time, expires on December 2, 2024. This promotion offers an alternative to traditional Thanksgiving desserts with the brand’s signature ice cream cake in the shape of a turkey.
This fun holiday tradition mirrors the White House’s turkey pardon, where President Biden this year pardoned two turkeys named Peach and Blossom. The birds are named after Delaware’s state flower, symbolizing resilience.
In addition to the Turkey Cake, Baskin-Robbins has introduced a savory holiday treat: Brie My Guest, the November Flavor of the Month. This unique ice cream combines brie and burrata flavors with almonds, pistachios, and apricot swirls, offering a sweet and savory contrast perfect for holiday gatherings.
“Holiday gatherings are about sharing memorable experiences, and our Brie My Guest and Turkey Cake do just that,” said Grandinetti, Vice President of Marketing & Culinary at Baskin-Robbins.
Founded in 1945, Baskin-Robbins is the world’s largest ice cream specialty chain, with more than 7,700 locations in 33 countries.
