Singapore, December 2024 – Dating app Bumble is bringing a sweet twist to the holiday season by partnering with Uncle Chieng’s Ice Cream Cart to create a unique space for singles to connect. This month, Bumble is inviting people to visit the popular ice cream cart on Orchard Road, where they can engage with others while enjoying free ice cream and receiving personalized dating tips.
Bumble’s activation aims to foster connections among singles through a fun, interactive setting. The dating app’s latest trends report, which offers valuable insights on modern dating, will be available for attendees. The first 200 Bumble users who present their profiles at the ice cream cart will also receive complimentary ice cream. The event will run every Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. or until supplies run out.
In addition to the in-person activation, Bumble has introduced an “Ice Cream” interest badge within the app. This new feature allows users to showcase their love for ice cream on their profiles, making it easier for individuals with similar tastes to connect.
Bumble has also expanded its offerings by partnering with Urban Milers Run Club for a special running event aimed at singles, complete with a run club interest badge for participants. This initiative is part of Bumble’s broader strategy to release over 30 interest badges, including those based on hobbies, memes, and even houseplants, allowing users to better express their unique personalities.
Chen Meihui, Bumble’s APAC communications lead, commented on the initiative: “In 2025, we’re seeing a big shift toward authenticity in the dating world, with more people seeking meaningful connections that align with their individual interests. By blending Bumble’s empowering approach to dating with real-world interactions, we hope to spread some holiday cheer and help singles on their journey to love this festive season.”
With the combination of in-app features and real-life experiences, Bumble is making it easier than ever for singles to connect during the holiday season.
