Cherry Grove Beach, SC – A beloved local eatery, A to Z Chillin-N-Grillin, has quietly closed its doors after years of serving the Cherry Grove community. Located at 201 Sea Mountain Highway, the grill and ice cream shop, which had been a staple in the area for many years, shut down without much fanfare this year.
As of December 16, the building has been cleared out, with a “closed” sign posted on the door. A “For lease by owner” sign was also visible on the back of the property. Attempts to reach the business owner for comment before publication were unsuccessful, and the exact date of the restaurant’s closure remains unclear. The last online review for Chillin-N-Grillin was posted on Yelp in July 2024.
Chillin-N-Grillin, previously known as Dairy King, offered a variety of casual fare, including chicken strips, cheese steaks, burgers, and ice cream. The restaurant’s closure follows the sale of The Old Georgetown Creamery, another of the former owner’s businesses, which was purchased earlier this year by Randy Wolfe.
The closure marks the end of an era for locals and visitors alike who frequented the spot for its classic beachside meals and sweet treats.
