DALLAS (KDAF) – Baskin-Robbins is offering a sweet deal to ice cream lovers this week: free ice cream with no questions asked, as long as you’re willing to tell a little white lie.
On Wednesday, participating Baskin-Robbins locations across the U.S. will be launching a unique promotion called “Melt Insurance.” The offer allows customers to redeem a free scoop of Baskin-Robbins ice cream, even if their previous treat melted into a mess — no proof required.
The concept is simple: while many ice cream enthusiasts face the frustrating dilemma of melted desserts, Baskin-Robbins is offering a “get-out-of-jail-free” card for anyone who claims their ice cream succumbed to the heat. A company representative emphasized that this promotion is designed to prevent any “complete meltdown,” even if no actual melting has occurred.
“There’s no need to show any evidence of a melt,” a Baskin-Robbins spokesperson said in a press release. “Whether your ice cream melts or not, we’re here to help you enjoy a refreshing treat.”
To take part in the promotion, customers must download the Baskin-Robbins app, order a single scoop for pickup, and use the code “MELT” at checkout. The deal is available for pickup orders only and cannot be applied to in-store or delivery purchases. Additionally, the offer does not cover waffle cones, sundaes, or toppings, which will incur an additional charge. The promotion cannot be combined with other offers.
