Dairy Queen fans have reason to celebrate as the beloved S’mores Blizzard is set to make its return in 2025. The ice cream chain confirmed the news on December 20, 2024, revealing that the fan-favorite dessert would be making a grand comeback after a few years off the menu.
Earlier this month, Dairy Queen conducted a customer poll to decide which of its iconic treats would return, with the S’mores Blizzard emerging victorious over two other contenders: the Georgia Mud Fudge Blizzard and the Cappuccino Heath Blizzard.
In a statement posted on Instagram, the brand excitedly announced: “The fans have spoken! The fan-favorite flavor making its triumphant return in 2025 is the S’mores Blizzard Treat!” The post continued, revealing that the treat would be available starting in April 2025, as part of the DQ Summer Blizzard Menu.
As reported by People Magazine, the S’mores Blizzard will be back just in time for the summer season, bringing joy to dessert lovers who have been eagerly awaiting its return.
The S’mores Blizzard first debuted in June 2013, quickly becoming a staple of Dairy Queen’s summer offerings. Made with marshmallow-filled chocolate bars, graham crackers, and vanilla soft serve, the treat captured the essence of summer camping trips with every bite. After being removed from the menu in 2020, fans were overjoyed when it made a limited return in 2023.
Describing the treat on its website, Dairy Queen shared, “Summer was made for s’mores, and with the DQ S’mores Blizzard Treat, you can get your sweet, chocolatey, gooey, marshmallow-y fix without the fuss of pitching a tent or building a campfire.” The Blizzard blends marshmallow-filled chocolate bars and graham crackers with the brand’s world-famous soft serve to create a perfect dessert experience.
