As the holiday season kicks off, consumers in Ontario are being urged to check their freezers for a specific batch of brownie ice cream desserts purchased from Costco, following a voluntary recall issued by Sorrisa Group Inc. The recall comes after the company identified a potential contamination risk involving foreign rubber material in certain batches of the product.
The affected batches of the brownie ice cream desserts, which have Best Before dates in early November 2025, are as follows:
Best Before Date: Nov. 4, 2025 – Recalled Lot Number: CO-BS309-24
Best Before Date: Nov. 5, 2025 – Recalled Lot Number: CO-BS310-24
Best Before Date: Nov. 6, 2025 – Recalled Lot Number: CO-BS311-24
Consumers who have purchased any of the affected lots are advised not to consume the product. Instead, they should return the item to Costco for a full refund.
Although Sorrisa Group Inc. has received a single complaint regarding the potentially contaminated product, it remains unclear whether anyone has sustained injuries as a result of consumption.
The company is taking this precautionary measure to ensure consumer safety and prevent further incidents.
