Singers Ice Cream, a popular family-owned shop known for its homemade ice cream and karaoke nights, will be moving from its current location in House Springs to Wildwood in 2024. Co-owner Micah Turnbough, who operates the business with his wife, Courtney, and his parents, Bruce and Cinda, announced that the lease for their current space at 22 Gravois Station Road will expire in February. The family decided to relocate the shop closer to their home, which is situated in Wildwood.
The new Singers Ice Cream location will open in mid-March or early April at 2478 Taylor Road, near Dierbergs Market at Wildwood Town Center. The space was previously home to Main Street Creamery, another ice cream shop with a location in Washington, Missouri.
“We’re really excited about the new location,” said Turnbough, noting that it’s only a 10-minute drive from his home. “It’s definitely all positive. We found this new spot at the right time, and because it was already an ice cream shop, we saved a significant amount on renovation costs—around $80,000 to $100,000.”
Singers Ice Cream, which first opened in 2022, quickly became a local favorite, known for its variety of handcrafted ice cream flavors that change regularly. In addition to serving up ice cream, the shop offers karaoke, where customers can either perform themselves or watch the Turnbough family take their turn at the mic.
“My dad is really the face of karaoke at the shop,” said Turnbough. “He’s a fun, lively guy who runs karaoke and always brings joy to the customers. It’s really special when families come in and kids get excited about singing, especially when a parent joins them on stage.”
Turnbough said the move to Wildwood will allow the business to continue offering its signature community atmosphere, where customers often form close bonds with the family. The new location will also continue to specialize in homemade ice cream, with the potential to add new menu items, such as shakes.
One of the shop’s most popular flavors, Granny’s Banana Pudding, is named after Turnbough’s mother, Cinda, who created the recipe using real bananas, not artificial flavors. “People really love Granny’s Banana Pudding. When we don’t have it, we hear about it,” said Turnbough. “We take great pride in making sure our flavors are top-notch and as delicious as possible.”
To show their appreciation for loyal customers, the Turnbough family plans to host a Valentine’s Day-themed event in February. More details about the event will be shared on Singers Ice Cream’s social media pages in the coming weeks.
“As a family business, we wouldn’t be here without the amazing support from our customers,” Turnbough said. “We’re so grateful for the community, and we’re excited to continue this journey in Wildwood.”
