CHESHIRE, CT — Micro Creamery of Connecticut will open its third location in Cheshire on Friday, January 3, at the site previously occupied by Sweet Claude’s Ice Cream, located at 830 South Main Street.
The ice cream shop is owned and operated by father-son team Dinesh and Shahan Kukreja, who also run successful locations in Woodbridge and Milford. The new Cheshire store marks a significant milestone for the family business.
“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new store on Friday, January 3rd!” the owners shared in a Facebook post. “Our family has been in Cheshire for over 25 years, and we couldn’t be happier to bring our third store to this community. We’re excited to share our delicious ice cream with you all and look forward to seeing you on opening day.”
Micro Creamery prides itself on offering premium, hand-crafted ice cream sourced from local Connecticut vendors. According to the company, the shop’s community-driven mission is centered around creating a welcoming, family-friendly environment where patrons can create lasting memories. The ice cream parlor embraces the spirit of microbreweries, with offerings from six local vendors, providing customers with over 70 unique flavors from around the state.
Current vendors featured at Micro Creamery include Big Dipper (Prospect), Praline’s (Wallingford), Buck’s Ice Cream (Milford), Salem Valley Farms (Salem), Arethusa Farm (Bantam), and Cold Fusion Gelato (Westport).
With the new Cheshire location, Micro Creamery continues its commitment to celebrating Connecticut’s artisanal ice cream scene while fostering a dog-inclusive space for customers to enjoy with their families.
