Beaver Creek residents now have a new spot to satisfy their sweet tooth and enjoy a welcoming community atmosphere. Holy Cow Ice Cream, a locally owned shop, held its soft opening on Friday, giving customers a first taste of its diverse menu and a glimpse into its ambitious plans for the future. Located in a spacious 5,000-square-foot facility, the shop aims to be more than just an ice cream parlor—it’s a hub for food, family, and even spiritual connection.
The menu at Holy Cow Ice Cream caters to a wide range of tastes, offering everything from savory snacks to decadent desserts. Customers can enjoy all-beef hot dogs, hearty pinto beans, cornbread, chips, and a selection of beverages, including soda, coffee, and water. For those with a sweet tooth, the shop serves up homemade peach and apple cobbler, cookies, and walking tacos—a perfect way to cap off a meal.
The soft opening allowed owner Irvin to introduce the shop to the community while fine-tuning operations and customer service. Though the event was only promoted on Facebook, it drew in locals eager to experience the warm and inviting atmosphere Irvin has worked hard to create. “I want it to be a space that brings people together, offers comfort, and provides a place of peace,” Irvin said.
But the shop’s offerings don’t stop at food. Irvin has ambitious plans to transform part of the space into the Beaver Creek Spiritual Center, a non-denominational retreat designed to provide solace and foster community connections. Located at the back of the shop, the center will complement the ice cream parlor’s mission of creating a welcoming environment for all.
For now, Holy Cow Ice Cream is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the winter months. Hours will expand to 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. or later in the summer, depending on demand. With warmer weather on the horizon, Irvin anticipates increased foot traffic as word spreads about the shop’s unique offerings and the upcoming spiritual center.
Customers can stay updated on specials, events, and announcements by visiting the shop’s Facebook page or calling 276-252-9871. Irvin’s vision for Holy Cow Ice Cream is simple yet heartfelt: “It’s fun, it’s friendly, it’s family.” He hopes the shop will become a place where people can relax, enjoy a meal, and connect with one another.
With its diverse menu, warm atmosphere, and community-focused initiatives, Holy Cow Ice Cream is quickly establishing itself as a local favorite. As the seasons change and new offerings come to life, the shop is poised to become an even bigger part of the Beaver Creek community. Whether you’re craving ice cream, a savory snack, or a moment of reflection, Irvin and his team are ready to make you feel right at home.
