SAVANNAH, Ga. — Leopold’s Ice Cream, a beloved Savannah institution, announced Wednesday that it will open a new location in March 2024. The new shop, situated at 107 Charlotte Road off Highway 80 on Whitemarsh Island, is currently under construction and marks the latest expansion for the century-old brand.
“We are incredibly excited to expand the Leopold’s family,” said owner Stratton Leopold. “For over a century, we’ve been honored to serve our community and visitors from around the world. This new location will allow us to share the Leopold’s magic with even more people while staying true to our roots.”
The Whitemarsh Island location will join Leopold’s flagship ice cream parlor at 212 E. Broughton Street and its outpost at the Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport. Known for its handcrafted ice cream, nostalgic atmosphere, and commitment to quality, Leopold’s has been a staple of Savannah’s culinary scene since 1919.
The expansion reflects the brand’s enduring popularity and its mission to bring its signature flavors and hospitality to new neighborhoods. Further details about the new location, including its opening date and menu offerings, will be announced in the coming weeks.
Leopold’s Ice Cream continues to draw locals and tourists alike, offering a taste of Savannah’s rich history and tradition in every scoop.
