House Springs, MO – Silver Spoon Ice Cream and Sweets is set to open its newest location at 22 Gravois Station Road in House Springs, filling the space previously occupied by Singers Ice Cream, which recently relocated to Wildwood. The shop, co-owned by siblings David and Jennifer Staral, is expected to open in late March or early April following interior renovations.
This will be the fifth Silver Spoon Ice Cream location in the St. Louis area, joining existing shops in Wildwood, Eureka, Chesterfield, and a soon-to-open location in Washington, MO, which is scheduled to debut on January 17. The House Springs store marks the brand’s first venture into Jefferson County.
“We’re thrilled to bring Silver Spoon Ice Cream to Jefferson County,” said David Staral. “For the past two years, customers from House Springs, High Ridge, and Cedar Hill have been traveling to our Eureka location. They’ve been asking for a shop closer to home, and we’re excited to finally make that happen.”
The Starals launched their first Silver Spoon Ice Cream shop four years ago in Silver Lake, Wisconsin. After selling that location, they expanded rapidly, opening three stores in the St. Louis region over the past two years. In addition to their ice cream shops, the siblings also operate Silver Spoon Donuts and Treats in Eureka, which opened in 2023.
The House Springs location will feature the same menu as other Silver Spoon shops, offering a variety of ice cream, shakes, malts, sundaes, and candy. “We scoop all of our ice cream in front of our customers, so we’re adding equipment and making some aesthetic updates to the space,” Staral explained. “We believe we have the best ice cream on Earth, and our unique brand and experience make us a destination for ice cream lovers.”
The new shop will operate year-round, with seasonal adjustments to its hours—shorter in the winter and extended during the summer months. Once fully operational, the House Springs location is expected to employ 10 to 12 staff members.
“Regardless of where we open, people love trying our ice cream and visiting our shops,” Staral added. “We’re confident the House Springs community will embrace us just as warmly as our other locations have.”
With its upcoming opening, Silver Spoon Ice Cream continues to solidify its presence in the St. Louis area, bringing its signature treats and family-friendly atmosphere to even more neighborhoods.
