Ben & Jerry’s is making it easier for ice cream lovers to share with the launch of a new line of extra-large ice cream pints. Announced on January 14, 2025, the Vermont-based brand revealed that its new 28-ounce Scoop-apalooza containers will soon be available in grocery stores across the country.
The announcement comes after years of demand from fans for larger portions of the brand’s premium ice cream. The new Scoop-apalooza pints are designed to cater to those seeking a more generous serving size, and will be available alongside Ben & Jerry’s regular-sized 16-ounce pints. The four new flavors in the Scoop-apalooza lineup include Vanilla & Fudge Brownie, Chocolate & Fudge Swirl, Strawberries & Cream, and Coffee & Fudge Chip.
According to the company’s press release, the new flavors feature simpler, more traditional mix-ins aimed at appealing to a broader audience. Ben & Jerry’s emphasized that the larger pints are perfect for group gatherings, with the slogan “Pint for you, Scoop-apalooza for the crew” highlighting the shared experience.
In addition to the new pints, Ben & Jerry’s is offering fans an exclusive opportunity to taste the new flavors before they hit shelves. Through a social media promotion running from January 14 to 28, the brand will give away special Scoop-apalooza kits. Winners will also be encouraged to send an additional kit to a friend, promoting the idea that “sharing is caring” when it comes to ice cream. Details on how to enter the promotion will be announced on Ben & Jerry’s social media platforms.
The introduction of the larger pint sizes has raised speculation among fans about whether classic flavors like Half Baked or Phish Food might be next in line for a Scoop-apalooza makeover. While that remains uncertain, the launch of the 28-ounce pints is already generating excitement for bigger portions of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.
